Stitching Hope is the fabric arts and sewing center that will train and equip women to combine the artistic skills of fabric art with the utilitarian skills of sewing to provide jobs for up to 30 women...AND WE'RE BREAKING GROUND!!!
Women have been trained, some projects have already
begun, and now we are starting on the building! The project transitioned from starting from scratch in a field to deconstructing and rebuilding in the center of the commercial area in the community of Chacraseca. The new building will be in a great location and it will be a great space for the women.
Here are pictures of the major first steps and hard work many people have put in to help get Stitching Hope on its way...

We are on a very tight budget but a recent, very generous donation means that we have the funds we need to complete the building's exterior. Depending on weather and such, we hope to have the building up by October. The next step will be funding the interior...
In the meantime, the women continue to stitch and hope!
