Bryan Zack, a 16 year old boy scout from Overland Park, KS, had been hearing his neighbor's stories of her trips to Nicaragua and asked her why she kept going. So she began sharing her stories with him. On one of her trips, they had an old beachball and wrapped in in several yards of ducttape; the kids played with it for days and were so excited!

He was particularly moved by the retelling of this experience and decided to do his Eagle Scout project with these kids in mind. 

Between the beginning of his project in March 2011 and January 2012, he had several donation drives and even gained a corporate sponsor! He was able to collect enough sports equipment to fill a 3 car garage!  

In January he was able to personally bring the fun to the comité in Chacraseca!  

 

 Bryan said "It was rewarding for me to see how much our used equipment and clothes mean to this community"
