Celebrating Dreams Come True
in Santa Emilia, Nicaragua
. ...
Santa Emilia is a small community of coffee workers in the cloud forest of the Department of Matagalpa, where, with the support and accompaniment of JustHope Partners, 2500 people are working together to improve their lives and futures...
- The water project is just days away from being completed!
- The 27 women who are participating in the women's micro-credit bank are continuing to run their small businesses and repay their loans on time!
- Agreements are almost worked out with the City Hall in Matagalpa to open the new high school in time for the 125 young people in SE to start the 2011 school year!
- The fourth house in their "Permanent Hope" housing project is scheduled to be built in March!
in LaFlor, Nicaragua...
LaFlor is a mountain-top community of 57 families who balance life between subsistance farming and picking coffee. Along with their JustHope Partners, they are...
- Drinking clean water after finishing their water project
- Planting the poles for the first electric line to come to LaFlor
- Preparing to build a Community Store and latrines for each of the 55 families

in Chacraseca, Nicaragua...
Chacraseca is a subsistance farming community in the dry, coastal Department of Leon, where 8000 people are dreaming and hoping with their JustHope Partners...
· Much needed repairs were just made to the deteriorating clinic building.
· The first piece of equipment - a microscope - has been donated toward the laboratory Partners are working to create.
· The women's microcredit bank continues to flourish and repayments remain at 100%
· The "Dreaming Together Hardware Store" has opened and this first women-managed commercial business in Chacraseca.
Next week 280 children will start elementary school on scholarships - $40 a year! (There are still another 70 children waiting for a scholarship so they, too, can go to school! Your donation of $40 would make that possible!)

in the US...
And, in continued pursuit of our vision, we now have 15 North American Partners, which means that literally THOUSANDS of North Americans are exploring new ways to think about and relate to their global neighbors.
THAT is what may eventually heal our divided and conflicted world!

Please join us in creating global partnerships...
combatting extreme poverty....
and nurturing sustainable community!
