 donated produceA Real Christmas Miracle....

Two weeks ago, I attended the "Feria" in Chacraseca.  It's an annual event, much like our country fairs, where local farmers and artisans bring their crops to show and sell.  Knowing that just weeks earlier, devastating rains had destroyed many of the crops in Chacraseca, I wasn't sure what to expect.
But as I entered the agricultural area, I was shocked to see the tables in the very first booth literally over flowing with corn, squash, tomatoes, and other beautiful vegetables.  Then I noticed the sign above the table -- "For the old ones" it read. corn harvest  sharing the corn

Arlen, one of the farmers whose battered crops YOU helped save by providing essestial fertilizers and nutrients, came over to the table and explained.  "All 60 farmers JustHope helped have donated part of their crops.  It's our way of saying 'thank you' ... by passing it on."

Your gifts are continuing to give...     Thank you to everyone who helped JustHope raise the $5000 that helped these farmers save and then share their corn!

 BUILDING A CLINIC LABORATORY!
JustHope sustains a small clinic in Chacraseca that serves an average of 500 patients per week. Patients  have to travel to the nearest city of lab tests,  and it often takes up to 3 months to get the results.   We are working to establish a small laboratory where simple blood & urine tests,  and pap smears can be processed quickly and locally.  $25 provides blood or urine testing for a day; $50 will process women's pap smears within 3 days.
