Keep it Simple
Recently I met someone who demonstrated one of the most important things about maintaining one's balance and health. And that is, keep it simple. Deal with the piece of the situation that presents itself to you each day, be aware that it will shift, and that the ultimate goal is to be in the most harmonious place each day you can be, given your parameters. In doing that, true balance can be achieved and that generally means improved health and being at a greater level of peace with yourself. So, suppose you have a chronic health condition. Each day you see where the most resistance is in your system. Gently, you address that resistance every day. Say it is an arthritic condition, where there is ongoing pain and inflammation. Generally there will be variations in these things each day, and over time you can watch and see what is really influencing which part. That gives you a much better basis for deciding what to do, whether it be changing your acid balance or focusing on inflammation. Plants are incredible at helping us with such things, like I always say. Thyme oil diffused in the winter is a good example, as is basil. Thyme keeps pathogens at bay, and basil in addition to neurotonic properties also reduces acid concentations in the system. Add lemon grass and camphor to that combination and you've got almost everything covered: Respiratory, Immune, Circulatory and anti-inflammatory. Whether you are trying to maintain immune status, work on chronic pain, or stress, these humble plants can help you in a very simple way. When you keep it simple, there's more room to move!
