Hello Again!

In keeping with my new policy of waiting until the end of the month- where do they go? Here is the March newsletter.  Perhaps as the sun moves around I'll get closer to the beginning of the month eventually......In any event I hope this finds you all well, and has something that interests you!

Understanding a flower essence, and getting a grip in general....

Helleborus Niger

These are pictures (taken by Ann Blackmore) of  Christmas (or Lenten) Roses.  It is a terrifically beautiful flower, a Hellebore, in the Ranunculus family and related to Buttercups.  Their growth habit is such that just when you think there isn't going to be, can't possibly be, just won't be, a flower: There it is in breathtaking and humble beauty.  Kind of like Spring itself, and often, life itself. In addition, this lovely blossom provides some powerful assistance.  Medicinally, the Ranunculus family works on the entire mucus membrane of the body, from throat to bottom, from coughs to hemmorhoids, as a toning and healing agent.  It made sense to me that it would, as an essence, have some of those actions.  Buttercups, as flower essence, assist with a calm inner knowing: Kind of the staying in place of realization, you might say.  Combining those two elements, you get something that calms and instills hope in the body.  In fact, quite effectively in the third brain of the body, the GI tract, which is, not coincidentally, a large part of the mucus membrane family.  I tried it out in a few situations and boy o boy.  It did just what I had puzzled out that it might.  Calming and nurturing, awareness is allowed to come back in and new behaviors can begin to take root where the old ones have been wreaking havoc, and from whence they get taken to a lengthy Time Out.  The body and the mind can have what seems like a new life almost, a new blossoming.  An unexpected resurrection.Helleborus Niger

My view pretty much is that if you can allow yourself these largely quiet moments, many things can be illuminated and worked out in your own mind and life.  Plants often provide this helpful space.  Even if you don't have  a garden, it is well worth it to spend time with flowers.  Go to a park or a nursery!  Just being amongst these beings can be more helpful than you might imagine.  It can also be very interesting to see just which plants and trees you gravitate toward, which ones you especially like and so forth.  Once you look into their histories, who knows what you might find out?
IDEAS, IDEAS........ variegated rose
Ever the mad scientist, I've been mixing up lots of new things.  Prototypes, you might say.  For some reason I've been working on spray misters lately, and I have two that may be of interest.

One is an Interpersonal Improver.  If you've got a difficult individual to deal with every day, this spray can help.   Unscented and thus non-invasive, this spray has helped people feel better themselves and cope with the Challenging You Know Who's of life.  Spray it around you and move forward.  This one is $15.00, for a 2 oz. glass spray.

The other one is a development of an older project.  It combines my flower essence mix for allergies with essential oils that help prevent headaches and migraines.  I've found it is helpful (in combination with allergy meds, at the moment. *sigh*) when the sneezing and eyewatering and general total yuckiness of allergies hits.  Mist your face and chest with this and amazingly, you do feel better.  If your allergies are not hideous and all-encompassing (as mine are) you may find this spray is enough for the periodic episodes.    The allergy mix is available for $20, same size.

An order of a gift certificate with the pertinent details will send these winging their way to you, if you so desire!
I thank you very much indeed for reading these newsletters!  Don't hesitate to email if there is something specific you are interested in having, or looking for, or want.  Meantime, have a wonderful springtime.

Best wishes!
