Painting Commissioned to Honor Howard H. Cherry Scout Reservation
, we are in the middle of a year of Centennial celebration of the Boy Scouts of America. As part of this celebration, a new commissioned painting honoring Howard H. Cherry Scout Reservation has been completed. The artist, Barb Jones Prall, is a friend of Scouting. She has incorporated all parts of Camp Waubeek and Wakonda into a stunning icon available to all new endowment donors at the $1,000 level and above. The original is available for viewing at the Council Service Center as part of the new Volunteer Resource Center. A small part of the painting is shown below.

Volunteer Resource Center Completed!
If you have been to the Council Service Center in the last few weeks you will have noticed that a construction zone has existed in the front lobby area. As of now, the construction is over and a new Volunteer Resource Center exists! Thanks to the CRST Donor-Advised Fund, Rinderknecht Construction and Appleby/Horn for their support of this new resource for Scouting volunteers. Now available to Scout leaders: two computers for internet advancement, internet rechartering, the full catalog of online training and online tour permits. In addition, two new event and registration information racks and a full display case of Scouting's history highlight this new space dedicated to support adult volunteers. Stop by and take a look!
