TruTek Release 11i Extended Support Mandatory Patching Assessment - Ugh. We'll read all those readmes, create the big spreadsheet, and map out what patches you need to apply to meet Oracle's Minimum Baseline Requirements for Release 11i Extended Support.

TruTek Release 12 Upgrade Readiness Assessment - We review your entire environment and prepare a report describing whether you're ready to upgrade to Release 12, and if not, what you need to do to get there.

TruTek Release 12 First Pass Upgrade - We come onsite for two weeks with our books and our spreadsheets, and we work with your DBAs to run through a First Pass Upgrade from Release 11.5.10.2 to Release 12. At no time do we touch the keyboard - this is a hands on learning experience for your folks. We're just the guides who help make it happen. If there's time, we also include your functional leads in the prerequisite steps and post upgrade steps.

TruTek Release 12.1.3 Books - They say the technical part of the Release 12 upgrade is the easy part; it's the functional part that's hard. Check out our new Release 12.1.3 books, as we're mapping out the steps.

Mike and I just finished two back to back TruTek Release 12 First Pass Upgrades, one on the West Coast, and one on the East Coast. What a workout! For those of you who have started upgrade testing, we've been battling with what we call "the HR Hooks" problems - our West Coast client is running HR in shared mode, and our East Coast client is running HR fully installed. We thought we nailed the HR issues when we left the West Coast, but we've since concluded that if you're fully installed, you have to apply a few more patches. Our motto is now "There's always another patch!"
