| A note from the director: Putting Faith in Action
Recently Pastor Mike preached about his experience on the Mission Navajo Spring Break trip. In his sermon he challenged all of us to do something - to go into all nations and share the everlasting love of Jesus Christ. Our neighbor is everybody.
Summer is a great time to practice this! It is a time to intentionally reach out and put your faith into action.
God has blessed Hope with mission partners all over the world. And He has blessed Hope with many opportunities to make a difference here in Iowa.
Find a place to serve this summer in one or more of these ways: - Serving locally at Freedom for Youth, Children and Families Urban Ministries or Hope Ministries throughout the summer
- Ruth Harbor Walk for Life in May - Habitat for Humanity's Rock the Block in June - Mission trips to Appalachia, South Dakota, New Mexico in June - VBS at Hope in July
- Mission trips to South Africa and Jamaica in July - Volunteering with Meals from the Heartland in August
- Mission trip to Ghana in August
Information about all of these opportunities can be found in this monthly e-newsletter or on the Hope website.
Step out in faith and see how God blesses you and those you serve. Praise God for the lives He is changing through Hope already and pray for God's guidance in how you can be a part of it all. Heaven will indeed be more crowded!
Blessings,
Missions Director |
UPDATE: Praise God! As of March 31, 76 churches have been provided through your giving to the Lenten Outreach Project. Your response has been overwhelming, but there are still many villages and towns without a church! We are prayerfully continuing our discussions on how best to proceed with building God's Kingdom in these communities. Click here to see a video of this project. What can I do? 1. Pray for Hope's mission partner in Ghana, Pastor Sam Dunya and GlobeServe International. 2. Give as you feel called at weekend services or at myhopelink.org or hopewdm.org.
