Welcome to our new Director of Faith Formation
|
We are very happy to welcome Kristine Kvochak as our new Director of Faith Formation. Kristine began her ministry work over 13 years ago as a volunteer catechist at St. Theresa Church in Oakland. After many years in the corporate world and time off after the birth of her second daughter, Kristine spent the last five years as the Director of Faith Formation at St. Theresa.
Kristine's responsibilities included faith formation from Kindergarten through Teen Confirmation working with over 250 children in nine different parish programs. The St. Theresa programs grew tremendously under her leadership and a strong faith formation community developed. Her welcoming personality enables her to be present and serve the needs of the children and their families. She has a desire to share her faith and the ability to manage multiple disciplines at one time with a positive and energetic spirit.
Kristine lives in Oakland with her husband, Terry, of 23 years and two daughters, Sophia, age16, entering her junior year at Bishop O'Dowd and Eleni, age 8, entering 4th grade at St. Theresa School.
While her official starting date will be August 1st, Kristine will be in dialogue with Cathy Giroux and our staff and catechists throughout the summer to make for a smooth transition when our program begins in the fall. Please welcome her when you do meet her so that she can feel at home very soon within our community.

Summer of Sharing Musical Gifts!
|
Music is an important part of our worship at St. Perpetua and it also plays an integral part of many of our parishioners' lives as they play an instrument or sing. This summer we'd like to invite YOU to share your musical gifts with the community at one of our masses. This opportunity is open to all who have musical gifts to share, regardless of age or level of mastery. Groups such as string quartets, or barbershop quartets, or flute duets, etc. are also encouraged to sign up. Look for the big sign-up board in the vestibule or e-mail Matt. Once you choose a date and mass time, Music Director Matt Wolka will contact you and work out the details.

Parish Support
|
One of the biggest challenges facing St. Perpetua is to predict our revenues, particularly during the summer months. Electronic giving is a program that has been successful at St. Perpetua with over 130 families participating. Your contribution can automatically be charged monthly to your bank card. For those not currently signed up, please consider this method of supporting your parish The electronic giving sign-up for can be found here. For more information contact Kathy Geddes at kgeddes@stperpetua.org or 283-0272#207.
Thank you so much for your generosity.
