First Eucharist 2010
| On the first two weekends of May, 94 students from our parish school and the faith formation program celebrated the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time. This picture was taken at the retreat on April 25 as the students were concluding their Sacrament preparation. May they continue to be encouraged and inspired by the St. Perpetua community.

Teen News
| This Saturday, May 22, at the Cathedral of Christ the Light, fifty-two teens from St. Perpetua will join with 120 other candidates from Santa Maria in Orinda and St. Elizabeth's in Oakland to celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation with Bishop Salvadore Cordilione, and their families and sponsors, who represent our parish community. Join us all in prayer that the Holy Spirit will renew their lives, strengthen their relationship with God, and guide them onward in their faith journey.

Faith Formation Registration
| Registration is open for next year's faith formation program. Forms will be accepted until September 20, 2010. After Sept. 20 children will be placed on a waiting list for class placement. Register by August 1 to avoid the late fees. Registration packets were mailed to families enrolled in last year's program. If you did not receive one, or are a new family interested in enrolling your children, packets are available in the parish office, on the table at the entrance of the church, and can be downloaded from our parish website. Please contact Cathy Giroux at 283-0272 X204 for inquiries or with generous offers to assist with the program. Classes begin on October 5 and 10, 2010.

Liturgical Ministers Needed
| THANK YOU to all who responded to our plea so far, but we still need Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors and altar servers. Please help us out to avoid burn out and over scheduling for our current ministers.
Altar Servers Both adults and youth in fourth grade and older, (Father/son or Mother/daughter teams) help with preparations before Mass, assist the presider during the service, and lead the procession with the gifts. To see what a server does watch the power point presentation on our web site. To become a server, click here.
Eucharistic Ministers Share the bread and cup with the assembly at Eucharist. To become a Eucharistic Minister, click here. Lectors Proclaim the Word of God in our worship. They prepare to minister by prayer, practice and reflection on Scripture. To become a Lector, click here.
