Lenten Reconciliation Service
|
Every year on Palm Sunday we hear the Passion of the Lord and as part of it, Peter denying Jesus three times. We don't know what happened to Peter after he realized what he did. He must have poured his heart out to the other disciples, and they must have helped him face his failure. Failure and sin need to be received by others mercifully but seriously in order to be healed. That's what the Lord did for Peter and that's what He does for us.
We are all sinners. It helps to talk with someone who will take us mercifully and seriously. The Sacrament of Reconciliation provides an opportunity for us to do just that. At our parish reconciliation service several priests will be present and available to provide a chance to renew your own heart as we draw close to Easter. Why not take advantage of this wonderful opportunity?

Liturgical Ministers Needed

THANK YOU to all who responded to our plea so far, but we still need Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors and altar servers. Please help us out to avoid burn out and over scheduling for our current ministers.
Altar Servers Both adults and youth in fourth grade and older, (Father/son or Mother/daughter teams) help with preparations before Mass, assist the presider during the service, and lead the procession with the gifts. To see what a server does watch the power point presentation on our web site. To become a server, click here.
Eucharistic Ministers Share the bread and cup with the assembly at Eucharist. To become a Eucharistic Minister, click here. Lectors Proclaim the Word of God in our worship. They prepare to minister by prayer, practice and reflection on Scripture. To become a Lector, click here.
