Oktoberfest 2009

Please join us this
Sunday, October 4th, 12:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Bring family and friends, fellow parishioners and neighbors to our
annual fall community gathering. Enjoy shaded outdoor dining with BBQ chicken sandwiches, as well as hot dogs,
hamburgers, pizza and lots of other tasty foods. New this year will be a chocolate fountain. The Kenny Goodwin Band will provide live music! Be sure to bring your dance shoes. There will be games
and inflatables for kids of all ages to keep them happy and
entertained (while you enjoy yourself with a cold beer or a margarita).
There's a Silent Auction with dozens of surprise gift baskets and the
ever-popular Cakewalk and pitch-burst.
Cakes should be dropped off in the Religious Resource Center on Sunday morning. Booth workers please check in at the hospitality booth. 50/50 raffle tickets will be available at the ticket booth and directly from our pastor, Fr. John.

News from our Parish School

A Hole in One for St. Perpetua School Students Thank you to all who supported Tee Off for Technology 2009 that took place last Monday at Roundhilll Country Club. Participants and volunteers alike had a great time out on the links while raising over $30,000 for the school's technology program.
Attention Book Worms St. Perpetua School will be sponsoring our annual book fair October 13th-18th. Please join us after all Masses on Sunday 18th in the school library as books for readers of all ages will be available. This is a great opportunity to start your holiday shopping!

Liturgical Ministers Needed
|
We are in dire need of Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors and altar servers. Please help us out to avoid burn out and over scheduling for our current ministers.
Altar Servers Both adults and youth in fourth grade and older, help with preparations before Mass, assist the presider during the service, and lead the procession with the gifts. To become a server, click here.
Eucharistic Ministers Share the bread and cup with the assembly at Eucharist. To become a Eucharistic Minister, click here. Lectors Proclaim the Word of God in our worship. They prepare to minister by prayer, practice and reflection on Scripture. To become a Lector, click here.

Outreach Collections
|
Outreach Food Basket collection will be on Oct. 10/11. Items needed: BEANS (refried, pinto, black, kidney, pork and baked).
The Outreach Committee is collecting new or gently used BLANKETS, TOWELS, SHEETS (no king-size) and $$$ for diapers on Oct. 10/11 and Oct. 17/18.
