OUR TEENS SERVE THE COMMUNITY
|
On Monday evening, November 24, over 25 teens from the St. Perpetua youth group and confirmation group helped out at the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. Parents of our parish teens also joined in with the teens to sort through and package food according to strict guidelines the Food Bank has to ensure quality. We had a larger group than they had planned for and were able to work not only in the usual food sorting area, but also with packaging fresh fruit. The next opportunity to serve at the Food Bank is in January.
