Relax, unwind and enjoy the evening with your spouse, special friends and acquaintances along with your fellow parishioners.

STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN

A wonderful new addition to our parish site is happening this fall. We've already replaced the narrow, aging sidewalk on Hamlin Road with a six and a half foot wide walk and put up a split rail fence. This provides a greater sense of security for the many children and parishioners who cross from one side of our property to the other every day. As you can see in the photo, a stairway is being built to provide easier access to the upper lot. The large, overgrown eucalyptus trees will be removed and more attractive and appropriate shade trees will replace them. As part of the stairs there will be a landing with benches under a trellis, and at the top of the stairs, an area with seating for gathering and socializing. This joint school and parish project will give a fresh public face to our campus and further enhance our beautiful hillside location.
 CHRISTMAS SERVICE PROJECT

With the aid of the Outreach Committee, the faith formation families will participate in the annual service project to benefit ANKA Behavioral Health, Inc. ANKA assists homeless adults in Contra Costa County, many of whom are mentally or physically challenged, with lodging, food, and other services.   Students assemble bags for distribution which include socks and various toiletry items.  Parishioners are invited to donate items such as travel-size bottles of shampoo, lotion, deodorant, toothpaste, combs, or other small items that will fit into a small bag and can be useful to a person whose 'home' is carried with them.  For a complete list of suggested items, please contact Cathy at the parish office.

Donations are being collected in the parish office or can be brought with your child to faith formation class.  Students will be preparing the gift bags during their usual class times on Sunday, Dec. 7 and Tuesday, Dec. 9.  Thank you for your generosity.
