Easter Treats or Tricks?
Newsweek magazine has put together a list of the worst Easter candies-just in time!
  1. Peeps. Four bunnies is 130 calories. Peeps are fat-free but heavy on the carb count--each little rabbit has 8 grams of sugar, adding up to 32 grams in a serving of four.
  2. Jelly Beans. A 14-bean serving has 150 calories with 27 grams of sugar.
  3. Cadbury Chocolate Eggs. A handful of 12 eggs has 190 calories and 8 grams of fat.
  4. Cadbury Creme Egg. The 1.2-ounce egg comes with 150 calories, 5 grams of fat and 25 grams of carbs.
  5. Reese's Peanut Butter Egg. All three varieties of the Reese's egg have 180 calories. The fat content weighs in around 10 grams, double that of the Cadbury Creme Egg.
Keeping Your Commitment - Part 2
Has this ever happened to you?

You have been diligent about your workout program, everything is going great, then you take a vacation or miss a few days due to illness. Now you can't seem to get back into your program. "I'll go tomorrow" becomes a few days, then a week. What happened?

Remember what we told you last month - don't be discouraged. Your health is too important for you to give up on it. Every day is a new chance to start over. Forget yesterday.

A new workout can be just the thing to refuel your enthusiasm. Our Grab 'n Go workouts are here for you. Pick something new, and have some fun.

Remember, we care about you and your health and we are here to help. Talk to us if you are having a motivation issue. Let's see how we can work through that together.

But whatever you do, keep your commitment to yourself. You're worth it!
Bigger is Not Always Better

There are so many health clubs in The Woodlands area! If you want indoor basketball, you can find it. Indoor swimming? That's available. How about a juice bar or even a facial? Yes, that too.

The allure of the new is understandable, but here's the thing... why do you join a health club? Why did you join Lifestyle Fitness? We believe it is because you are serious about your fitness and health, and appreciate that we are too.

We made a promise when we opened LFC that we would focus on one thing: your well-being. That means we make sure you get personal attention from fitness professionals, have top of the line equipment for your use and that you feel comfortable here.

Be assured that all of us at Lifestyle Fitness Center know that you have a choice and we appreciate you and are glad you're here!

Smart Food Choices

How did you do last month? Did you make the right choice?

This month we are focusing on the seemingly innocent latte.

"It's only coffee, how bad could be?"

Yes, the choice may be obvious, but we hope that when you see the numbers you will be inclined to make the switch.
