One Bread. One Body.
You may notice that, during every Eucharist at the Cathedral, during every Holy Communion, the presiding priest at the altar elevates one piece of bread and breaks it. That act is known as The Fraction. Even if that one piece of bread, or wafer, is rather small, it symbolizes that each of us is fed from one bread at the altar. That one bread is broken, like Christ's one body is broken, for each of us. Read more. |

A Festival of Advent Lessons and Carols
On Sunday, November 27 at 4 p.m., the Cathedral Choir will offer our annual Advent Service of Lessons and Carols. Those who have attended this candlelight service in past years know what a perfect opportunity it is to step back from the hectic pace of the post-Thanksgiving, pre-Christmas season, and take a few moments to contemplate its real meaning. Ski trip registration has begun! Cathedral 6th-12th graders will head up to Boone, North Carolina on January 13-16, 2012 for the annual winter ski trip! We will spend one day at Ski Beech, North Carolina and one day at Sugar Mountain, North Carolina. All experience levels (including no experience) are welcome! Registration forms are available here. The registration deadline is Monday, December 12. |
Clean out Your Closet! 
The 20s30s will be hosting a coat drive this year to donate to charities and homeless shelters in Atlanta. Please put donated coats in the baskets that will be placed in the atrium on Sundays through December 11.

Advent Wreath-Making and Spaghetti Dinner
The Cathedral's annual advent wreath-making event will take place on Sunday, November 27 from 5:30-7 p.m. in Child Hall. A spaghetti dinner provided by Five Star Culinary group follows the wreath-making activity. Read more.
Christmas Pageant Sign-Ups
It is time to sign up for the annual 4 p.m. Christmas Eve Pageant. A pageant sign-up table will be in the atrium beginning
Sunday, November 20. The deadline to sign up is Sunday, December 11. For more information, contact Sara Chapman. Please join us for this wonderful Cathedral tradition as we retell the story of Jesus' birth. The Christmas Pageant is on Saturday, December 24
at 4 p.m. in the Cathedral.
Caroling at Cathedral Towers
Join us for caroling at the Cathedral Towers on Wednesday, December 7, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. We will gather in Child Hall at 5:30 p.m. and head over to Cathedral Towers for caroling at 6 p.m. Enjoy Wednesday Night Dinner in Child Hall before caroling! |

Give yourself the gift of quiet and reflection during our annual Advent Quiet Day led by Canon Beth Knowlton. This day of renewal will be Saturday, December 10, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Lanier House.
