Torch Run T-shirts available
2012 Torch Run shirts are now available! Departments can sell T-shirts to their department, friends and family to raise funds for Special Olympics Minnesota. Funds raised through T-shirt sales will be credited to the department's fundraising totals. The departments that raise $1,000 during the Torch Run year are featured on the back of the shirt.
The 2012 shirt features the names of the law enforcement departments that raised over $1,000 in 2011. Congratulations to everyone who's on the shirt, and thank you for such wonderful support!
Choose from cotton ($10) or wicking ($20) T-shirts.

Final Leg and Summer Games
Summer is quickly approaching, which means it's time to start thinking about Final Leg & Summer Games! We have a big change for Summer Games this year: a new location! Due to construction at the University of Minnesota, this year's Summer Games will be held at Stillwater High School from June 21-23.
This location change requires adjustments to some of the metro Final Leg routes; we're working on getting them finalized quickly. Routes will be posted to the Final Leg Web page once we receive them from coordinators.
If your department has never participated in a Final Leg before, it's easy to get one started in your own community! Contact your Torch Run Manager for more information.
Summer Games will have many opportunities for Law Enforcement to get involved, including volunteer slots at the awards station and the LETR Plaza located in Olympic Town. And don't forget the Final Leg run into our Celebration Ceremonies event, where you'll be in front of thousands of cheering Special Olympics athletes, volunteers, coaches and supporters!
Check out all the ways to get involved by visiting our Torch Run Events Web page.

Our 16 Plunges included more than 14,000 participants who raised over $2.85 million dollars for Special Olympics Minnesota - another record setting year for the Plunge!
Thank you to the departments across the state who volunteered their time to these events, and also to those who Plunged, pledged or participated in other capacities.A special congratulations to the Brooklyn Center Police Department for being the Law Enforcement Challenge winner, raising over $10,755 online!
