Solar Plunge - Register Now!!!
The Polar Bear Plunge has become a winter tradition for many across the state, but there are still people who aren't quite ready for the challenge of jumping into a frozen lake in the middle of winter. Here's your chance to experience the Plunge with a bit more sun in the forecast! This event will feature a large pool filled with water and ice, lowering the temperature as close to 32 degrees as possible. It's like the Polar Bear Plunge but in the sunshine!
Two Solar Plunge events are scheduled for this summer. Visit the Solar Plunge website to register and learn more!  http://specialolympicsminnesota.org/Solar_Plunge.php

July 17 - Maple Grove Solar Plunge - Lookout Bar & Grill
August 21 - Lake Minnetonka Solar Plunge - Lord Fletchers

Final Leg & Summer Games Results

The Final Legs and Summer Games held in June were a huge success and involved hundreds of officers from numerous departments taking part in bringing the Flame of Hope throughout Minnesota to the Summer Games competition. Through the Final Leg, law enforcement raised an incredible amount of awareness for Special Olympics Minnesota, with newspaper and TV coverage throughout Minnesota that was valued at more than $10,000! At Summer Games, the LETR Plaza featured law enforcement, their squads, bomb quad and more, and was a major hit for our athletes.Check out some of the photos from various Final Legs and Summer Games.  We'd love for you to send us your Final Leg pictures too!
