Military/Veteran Rowers at Celebration Regatta
A Fun Day's Rowing and a Water Toss!!

CRI Military/Veterans team raced for the first time this season at the Lawrence Celebration Regatta. The team fielded 8+s and 4+s in the Masters and Open categories and many Novices competed in their first sprint race.  

A great time was had by all, and the team is looking forward to many more races this summer!

Another CRI MILITARY VETERAN first!
CRI Vets CPR


Community Rowing, Inc. is proud to offer certification for
CPR/AED/1ST AID taught by military veterans. 


Jesse O'Connor, United States Army Reserve Staff Sargent, has formally kicked off another new military veterans initiative instituted here at Community Rowing -  CRI VETS CPR.

  

Jesse is an instructor for the American Heart Association and a trained EMT. He taught valuable CPR and First Aid skills to the incoming class of the Institute for Rowing Leadership this past Friday. As a new employee of CRI, Jesse will offer continuing classes in CPR and First Aid to CRI coaches, CRI members, and our neighbors up and down the Charles River.  

  

Community Rowing is a 'safety first' organization, and the Charles River will be a safer place thanks to Jesse and other vets who will be teaching these valuable classes. See below for class info:

"Eat and Greet the New Fleet:
CRI Summer BBQ and the Blessing of the Fleet"
Join us as we christen the 10 new Vespoli 8+s! The Blessing of the Fleet is a tradition that began centuries ago in Mediterranean fishing communities. The practice was meant to ensure a safe and bountiful season, something all rowers can relate to. Here's to a minimum of crabs and a maximum of medals!

New start time: 9:00 AM
Saturday morning yoga classes at the boathouse will now begin at 9:00am rather than the previous start time of 9:15am.
Scullers: Please Read!!
Pavilion Access - June 29th
Please be aware that on the evening of June 29th, at 6:30pm, a tent will be set up over the area between the sculling pavilion and the boathouse.
 
Limited access to sculling pavilion after 6:30 pm.
Fourth of July - Boathouse Closed
Boathouse Closed All Day July 4th
In observance of Independence Day, Community Rowing will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th.

G-Row Classroom: Rental from 8am to 6:30pm 
 
Friday, June 29th
A tent will be set up between the boathouse and the sculling pavilion between the hours of 7pm and 10pm.

Boats should still be able to come in and out of the sculling pavilion. There will not be any sides put on this tent until Saturday, June 30th in the afternoon after 2pm and only if it is raining.
