CRI Athletes Make Strong Showing

Community Rowing, Inc. displayed a strong showing of 11 athletes in the Crash-B adaptive events, the highest number of CRI entrants to date. With families, friends, fellow athletes, and CRI volunteers to cheer them on, CRI athletes won five first-place finishes, and one second place finish.

All athletes proudly demonstrated COURAGE, INSPIRATION, EQUALITY, and DETERMINATION, Paralympic values espoused by CRI, which is a Paralympic Sports Club.  Congratulations to coaches and athletes!  Sincere appreciation to CRI volunteers who coxed athletes and guided participants on the competition floor.

Atlantic Crossings on Sea and Erg
Reports From Bryan and Dallas
Any Army vet knows the saying, "Hurry up and wait!" This is just what Bryan is probably feeling as he continues to prepare for his Trans-Atlantic Row. Important equipment repairs of the navigation system and water filtration systems has delayed the Titan's departure from the Canaries.

If all goes well and if the weather is cooperative, the new departure date is Thursday Feb. 23.  Meanwhile, Bryan helps with the boat and maintains his fitness with easy rows and bike rides.

Andrew "Dallas" Rosacker, USMC,  will start his Trans-Atlantic Virtual Row when Bryan departs, matching meter for meter.  Dallas is in the process of recruiting his own "crew" to row the 4,400,000+ meters. Dallas's row will culminate on March 20 at the Bedford VA Center, with the help of patients and staff.

Good Luck Men!

Healthy Habits!!
Keep Healthy By Wiping Equipment
Keep yourself and your fellow athletes and team members healthy by practicing good habits. Take the time to wipe down erg handles, weights, bike handles and oar handles to minimize the spread of harmful bacteria.

Use the spray bottles stationed on each erg - it is not plain water. It is disinfectant. Use it!!
