Beware Icy Ramps/Docks In Early Morning!
Please Use Caution On Ramps and Docks
Ramps and docks are often icy in the mornings. Please use caution when moving up and down the ramps, and on the docks as well.

A sand bucket and a scoop will be located on the sculling ramp for sprinkling on the surface of the ramp to provide traction.

The ramps can be very slippery with very little frost present or even visible. Be careful!

Be Safe - Please Watch For The Four-Oar Rule
Scullers - Anticipate Announcement of the Four-Oar Rule
Though the weather has been lovely of late, as we move further into November, and the weather and water cool, please be on the look out for announcements of the 'Four-Oar Rule' to take effect. The rule is crucial for your safety on the water.

Err on the side of caution. Rowing in cold air on cold water can be very dangerous.

Watch the CRI website, the lobby monitor, and E-News announcements for updates.

Increase Your Power Per Stroke Guaranteed!!!

Come join Coach Pat at the Olympic Weightlifting Seminar for Rowers being held at CrossFit Boston on November 19th.  By training to properly execute Olympic Lifts rowers can increase their power per stroke, improve their timing and body awareness.

In this workshop you will spend two hours learning the olympic lifts and how to safely perform and integrate the snatch and clean & jerk into your strength and conditioning program.

The snatch is known as the quickest lift and the clean & jerk the most powerful lift. Both are unique in their ability to develop raw power in rowing.

You will learn basic progressions with a barbell, dumbbells, and sand bags so that you can immediately begin using them in your training to improve your performance on the water where it counts!
