CRI's Fourth Annual Headless Halloween Regatta
Saturday, November 5th
|
November?.......but Halloween is in October!! True, but the Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga Springs, NY, has taken our traditional Headless Halloween weekend. Many of CRI's singles and doubles rowers will be competing at the Fish, and so would not be available to join in the fun. So enjoy the Halloween spirit for a little longer and come race with us, in costume of course, at the Headless Halloween Regatta!!
The race follows a moderately buoyed course that starts near the HOCR finish line and ends right in front of the CRI docks. We meet at 8:30am and launch at 8:35am. Racing begins at 9:00am. The race is open to all - adaptive boats, tubbies, B boats, singles and doubles. Even if you have never raced before, we welcome you!! The entrance fee is easy also, it is simply a costume and something to share at our post-race brunch. There will be several race categories and lots of ways to win prizes (Best Costume, Best Rowing Style as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category.), To sign up, email Liz Kosturko at lizkosturko@gmail.com or Lynn Salmonsen at lyns@mindspring.com. Include your name, age and 1st and 2nd boat choices or a private boat. And if you'd like to volunteer email Lynn at Lyns@mindspring.com . We will need launch drivers, dock hands, photographers and people to set up and take down brunch. We look forward to you joining in the fun. Thanks! Lynn and Liz
