We Thank You and Congratulate You!!

Maura Hammer

It is with profound and heartfelt emotions that we wish Maura Hammer, our beloved Director of Development, best wishes in her exciting new job as Director of Development of the Kennedy Library Foundation.  We are all delighted and thrilled for Maura, and everyone at CRI wishes her well in this new and tremendous opportunity.

Maura's guidance and outstanding contributions have allowed us to accomplish tremendous goals.  In just six years, Maura guided CRI to the successful conclusion of our $16 million capital campaign, and has established a whole new level of expectation and performance for non-profit organizations in Boston.

The Executive Committee and the Board of Directors have been actively working to ensure that Maura's legacy of great work on behalf of Community Rowing continues.

Characteristically, Maura requested a quiet departure departure from CRI, and insisted that we not usher her out with a lot of fanfare, preferring instead to speak with people personally to share her news as only she could.

Perhaps a widely distributed club e-mail seems contrary to her wish, but we would be remiss not to share the news with our whole membership and those who support CRI.

The CRI staff hosted a small farewell lunch this afternoon for Maura in the 1980 Team Room.  Maura leaves us with the same grace with which she guided Community Rowing every day that she came to the boathouse.

We wish Maura the best in her new position and look forward to staying in touch. We will miss her.
