Junior Competitive Race Results
CRI continued to demonstrate both strength and depth at the Wayland-Weston Scrimmage on Saturday. Our talented teams had a great showing at their second race this season, with both the Varsity Girls & Novice Boys teams winning all/most of their races!
Race summary
Distance: approx 1500 meters
Conditions: Substantial head/cross headwind throughout racing
Comments: The 2nd Novice 8 was stopped and re-started about 300 meters in.
1st and 2nd novice races stopped and re-started into the race course due to collision.
Varsity Girls: All, except for the 2x, of our varsity boats won easily against both WW and Broomfield!
Novice Girls: Some mixed results, winning in the 2N8 event, while trailing in the 1N8 and N4 events.
Varsity Boys: Some mixed results, winning in both the 1V8 and 2V8 events, while trailing in the V4 and Lwt4 events.
Novice Boys: Did exceptionally well, with all four boats overwhelming their rivals in the 1N8 and 2N8 events!

Karen Fabian, Certified and Registered Yoga teacher, has been teaching a class at CRI on Saturday mornings. We'd like to offer this class to coaches as well during these special class times. Please know that these classes are open to anyone as well as coaches. Yoga is a great way to provide our team with techniques to stretch hips and hamstrings as well as teach breathing and focusing techniques that can be used during competition. Yoga can help prevent injuries by teaching students how to integrate strength and flexibility.
