Greetings! 

The Spring Racing Season is upon us!  As you and your crews work on gaining speed on the water, some of your senior rowers are undoubtedly making plans for their lives post graduate lives.  Here at CRI, we have opportunities both on and off the water for them to take advantage of in continuing to make rowing a valuable experience in their lives.  Whether it be making coaching a full-time career or continuing to row competitively, CRI has got it all covered!

 

Last Chance to Apply to the IRL@CRI
IRL Logo Applications Due for the Advanced Certificate in Rowing Leadership Program
This Friday, April 1st, marks the Final Deadline for application submission to the IRL's certification program.

 

With a focus on advanced best practices and a curriculum based on both academic and experiential learning methodologies, students will spend 16-20 hours a week in the classroom learning from Boston-area professors, coaches and professionals and 16-20 hours a week on-the-water coaching and implementing lessons learned in the classroom.

The CRI Competitive Men's Team is designed for experienced oarsmen and coxswains with a desire to compete at regional, national and international master's level regattas.  The team trains year-round with a focus on improving conditioning and rowing technique for its members, while enjoying success at premier events such as Masters Nationals and the Head of the Charles Regatta.  For more info, please contact Head Coach Marko Vukovic at vukovic.CRI@gmail.com.

 

The CRI Competitive Women's Team is comprised of hard-working, dedicated women pursuing the sport they fell in love with in college or high school.  Launching from a brand new boathouse and training with the best equipment, our practices are focused, intense and deliberate - as successful as we are, we never lose sight of our goals or having fun. For more info, please contact Head Coach Mike Baker at rowingmike@gmail.com.

Canadian Henley Logo Stay Sharp Between Seasons
The CRI U23 Summer Program is designed to address the needs of high level college athletes whose summer schedule constraints limit their practice availability. The program provides athletes with a unique opportunity to unwind from their intense spring season while further improving their shape and rowing skills at a pace that will guarantee them to be fresh and ready for new challenges next fall. The competitive focus of the program is racing at USRowing Club Nationals and the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta.

Community Rowing, Inc. is the largest nonprofit organization in the United States.  CRI was founded in 1985 by a group of Olympic and National Team Rowers with the goal of widening the circle of rowing and securing public access for the sport on the Charles River.  Today, with over 2,000 members, the organization has over 30 programs and a fleet of more than 170 sweep and sculling shells.

 

The Institute for Rowing Leadership, based in Brighton, MA, at Community Rowing, Inc., is a new one-of-a-kind opportunity for rowing coaches to study and share knowledge.  The IRL seeks to identify and develop future leaders of the sport, with leadership and management skills as well as the highest level of technical knowledge for the sport of rowing.
