This exciting event will involve
composite boats of National Team members, CRI's women and Jr. women
sweep rowers
& scullers and our own G-ROW Boston Team taking a fun row around the
Charles
River. While no racing will be involved, it gives all women rowers a
chance to hang out and row with each other. The row will be followed by
a traditional rowers' brunch of bagels, bananas, peanut butter,
etc. A new sweep boat will also be dedicated at the
event. The link to

New Bedford Kick-off Event Gets Big Turnout
The party was a hit! We had a great turn out of people,
including some very distinguished guests. Jim Dietz, UMass Amherst
coach, is also the Vice President of US Rowing and has quite an
extensive and impressive history as a rower and coach. Hart Perry is
another icon in the world of rowing and currently runs the National
Rowing Foundation which supports Olympic athletes as well as others.
David Vogel, a former Olympic athlete also works for the National Rowing
Foundation and was in attendance last night.
