US Youth National Championship ------------- We Are The Champions
 Gold
Medalists: CRI
Girls Lightweight 8+ at Nationals. Congratulations to (from left to
right):
Jenny Wong, Sassi Ruenger, Hayley Yudelman, Juliana Orlov,
Renee Swetz, Elizabeth Barnett, Tori McCormick, Margaret Ciocca, and Jen
Fish
for winning the Gold medal and
for setting the course record at Nationals!!

Silver
Medalists: CRI
Girls Varsity 4+ at Nationals. Congratulations to (from left to right):
Lauren Goodwin, Maja Chelstowska, Rebecca Shaffer, Jen Stockwood, and
Priscilla
Livingston for a job well done at Nationals!
The Girls Lightweight 8+ broke the
course
record during their very first heat on Friday. Then they broke
their
own course record again during the Grand Final on Sunday ... and won
the GOLD medal (also
the
first 8+ to do so in the history of CRI)! To put the magnitude of
this accomplishment in proper perspective, their blazing course
record of 6:38:576 would
have ranked them 4th
in the collegiate 2010 IRA National Championship ... Wow indeed!! The Girls Varsity 4+ won the SILVER medal. The Girls
2x ranked
4th overall in their event. The Boys
Varsity 4+
ranked 5th overall in their event. The Girls
1x ranked
7th overall in their event (1st in the Petite
Final). The Girls
Varsity 8+
ranked 8th overall in their event (2nd in the
Petite
Final). The Boys
Lightweight
8+ ranked 8th overall in their event (2nd in
the
Petite Final). The Girls
Lightweight 4+ ranked 12th overall in their event (6th
in the Petite Final). The Boys
Lightweight
4+ ranked 16th overall in their event (4th in
the C
Final). The Boys
Varsity 8+
did not advance beyond their Semi Final (thus not officially
ranked).
Congratulations to all 57 athletes who
competed to the best
of their collective ability at Nationals, as well as their respective
coaches
who worked incredibly hard to get them there, and thank you to all the
parents
who came to support the entire team at Cinci ... together we are the
champions!

 CRI WISHES GEORGE
CUDDY A
SAFE JOURNEY AS HE CYCLES ACROSS THE USA TO
BENEFIT
CRI'S ADAPTIVE ROWING PROGRAM.
This Saturday, June 19th, George
begins
his cross country ride to raise funds and awareness for CRI's Adaptive
Program.
George cycled throughout the winter and spring and ran the Boston
Marathon as part of his grueling training regime. CRI's Adaptive Rowers
and their families are fundraising on behalf of George and will be
following
him via his live website that George will be updating weekly. All
CRI members are invited to George's Going Away Party this Thursday
evening, June 17th at Cheers on Beacon Street from
6pm-10pm.
To learn more about George and CRI's Adaptive Program you
can visit:
http://thexcrideforcri.us.
We also encourage you to visit the webpage that
highlights George's route. While George will be staying at a
variety of rowing clubs across the country there are some cities and
towns that
George does not yet have a place to spend the night. Maybe you have a
friend or
family member that might be willing to host George by offering him a bed
or a
hot meal.
