Another $20,000 was raised
last week for our $750,000 Challenge Grant, bringing our new total to
$670,000. With only 9 days lefts to our fundraising deadline of March 31st,
we are asking all members who have yet to make a gift to consider doing so
today. If you have already made a gift please consider making a second one. All
gifts will be matched 100%. Current donations show 45% of our
members have donated, but if we are going to be successful we need everyone to
contribute.

Here are a few helpful recruiting tips and reminders for theSPRING SEASON from Rower's Edge. www.rowersedge.com- Keep track of your race results and erg scores. Keep this information up to date
- Finalize your Summer plans and continue to visit schools of interest.
- Look at college websites and review the athletic page to gather more information about various teams.
- Think about the type of rowing program (DI, DII, DIII, Club) that you want in college and the type of college that appeals to you. Consider which type of college and rowing program will be the best "match" for you.
- Do your own independent research. Do not make your decisions based on rumors and/or others' individual reactions to a particular school or coach.
- Fill out the on-line athletic recruiting forms for individual schools.
- Plan visits to colleges around your school and crew schedule. Be sure to communicate your travel plans with your high school coach. Try to set up a meeting with the college coach when you visit.
- Stay focused on school and crew. Both are priorities during this critical season where race results are looked at by college coaches and grades are looked at by admissions.
