Tom Tiffany coxed the varsity heavyweight crew at Harvard University from 1969 through 1971 and captured two Eastern Sprints titles. In 1969 he coxed the United States National Team four at the European Championships and in 1971 Tom coxed the US 8+ at the world championships. He has also earned 3 gold medals in the Head of the Charles Regatta.
Tom began his coaching carreer at the University of California-Berkley in 1981 with the lightweight men and he has also coached for MIT Women's Crew and Boston Rowing Club. Currently Tom is coaching at the Newman School in Boston.
The coaching education series at CRI's Harry Parker Boathouse will present a different speaker and topic on the second Tuesday each month. The series is sponsored by Vespoli.
