Dear Yard Sale Volunteers,

On behalf of everyone at CRI, I would like to extend my sincerest thanks for your tremendous support over the past three weeks. In all my years of organizing volunteer events, you were the most hard working, dedicated and pleasant group I have ever worked with. Fun and exhaustion was experienced by all and thanks to you, the yard sale was a great success.

We raised over $6,000 which will go to purchase new equipment (safety launches). More than 213 members volunteered which is the most recorded for any single CRI event.  In addition, CRI had the most visitors recorded in a single day. Most of whom took a tour of the boathouse and went for a ride on the barge and even signed up for a summer program!

Finally, it is noteworthy to mention, that Saturday had the most events scheduled in one day since the opening of CRI's Harry Parker boathouse!  Beginning at 6am the volunteers for the Yard Sale were quick to get to work on last minute pricing before opening the sale at 8am, while at the boathouse the scullers went over last minute race preparations for the Alden Sculler Race that morning.  The Open House, which followed, began at 10am and ran to 2pm with the help of many volunteers from G-ROW Boston.  The day capped off by a  Special Event rental that ran until midnight!  We hope this constant activity in and around the boathouse that occurred on Saturday will continue as our Community expands and grows.

I look forward to next year's Yard Sale - "Treasure on The Charles!"

Sincerely,
Maura
