Letter from Bruce Smith,
Executive Director
Dear CRI Members,
Work parties have always been a tremendous part of CRI culture, and we have an exciting CLUB WIDE Work Party (emphasis on PARTY!) coming up. On May 30th, CRI and the whole community will be returning to our roots at the Daly Rink to host a GARAGE SALE fundraiser! What better way to raise funds in these economic times? Frugal shopping with an ecologically responsible outcome!
Newton Country Day School has kindly offered us to run the event out the Daly Skating Rink, CRI's old home. This will allow us to host the biggest sale possible rain and shine!
All proceeds raised from the event will go toward our Equipment Fund.

Have you volunteered this season?
With a new rowing season starting, there are many new opportunities for you to volunteer with CRI! This season we have a volunteer, Volunteer Coordinator, Meredith Sciarrio. She is putting together a database of CRI particpant skills and interests that will be used to help match particpants to CRI volunteer opportunities.
Please check the website "Service Hours" or email Meredith to find the best volunteer opporunity for you to give back to CRI.
Below are a few upcoming opporunities:
Tuesday April 21 at 10am
Seth needs volunteers to help move rack arms in the sculling pavilion. CRI will provide any necessary tools and ask that you dress appropriately for working outdoors.
Tuesday or Wednesday April 21 or April 22
Leigh needs one volunteer to drive linens from the boathouse to "Brighton Laundry and Drycleaners." (This is a 3 mile roundtrip. All provide necessary information will be provided, including payment information.)
Saturday April 25th
Ryan needs volunteers to help assemble and install bike racks and benches at the boathouse. For this activity, we need volunteers who are able to lift heavy objects and/or know how to form and pour concrete.
If you would like to help with any of these activities, please email Meredith at: msciarrio@gmail.com
Every little bit helps, and we truly appreciate all of your efforts!
