RACE INFORMATION
Races will be 500 and 1000 meters in length. Competitors will be grouped by classification: arms, trunk and arms; and leg, trunk and arms. The competition is open to athletes who are visually impaired, physically disabled or intellectually disabled; each athlete will be allowed to enter up to two races.
 
ATHLETE CLASSIFICATION
Athletes who wish to be classified should contact Ryan Banks to set up an appointment for Friday, February 20. Ryan can be reached at 617-599-9951 or by email at ryan@communityrowing.org.
 
F.E.S. ERG DEMONSTRATION 
Spaulding Rehabilitation Center which has been doing pioneering work with functional electrical stimulation (FES) on the erg, will bring an FES rowing setup to the competition. David Estrada, Executive Director of the Spinal Cord Injury Center of MA, also an athlete who is a paraplegic, will demonstrate this device.
 
REGISTRATION DEADLINE

The deadline for registration is February 19 and the fee is $25. The application can be downloaded from CRI's website

"ROWING FOR ALL"
Community Rowing, Inc. (CRI), whose motto is "rowing for all," is offering the competition as part of its new Adaptive Rowing program. Launched last fall, the Adaptive Rowing Program currently offers classes three times a week on its indoor erg machines to athletes with physical and intellectual handicaps including athletes with visual impairments.
PRE-RACE DINNER
A pre-race dinner will be served on Friday evening, February 20th at 6:00 PM at CRI's Harry Parker Boathouse. All competitors and supporters are invited to this complimentary "carbo loading" dinner, and tour CRI's beautiful new boathouse.
 

POST-COMPETITION LUNCH                                                 A post-competition celebratory lunch will be held by Concept2, one of the event's corporate sponsors and maker of the indoor "ergometers" or rowing machines, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge. Other competition sponsors include Concept2 CTS and WinTech Racing.
