Thank You Work Party Volunteers! From Bruce Smith, Executive Director of CRI
Many thanks and kudos to CRI members and Director of Operations and Programs, MJ Curry for an incredibly productive Work Party this past Saturday - clipboards, task lists, many hands and a sunny morning made the day a huge success.
More than 50 volunteers came down for the first of three big workdays that will put us into the new boathouse. We are waiting for news on an hourly basis about our Certificate of Occupancy for the Sculling Pavilion, and when that comes through within the next two weeks, we will commence "Phase II" and move out of the parking lot and start setting up the glass building with boats and rowing paraphernalia. "Phase III" will start as soon as the main building is ready for occupancy. We will make sure to keep you posted.
Work Party Awards:
Award for "Most Donuts Eaten" goes to the Big Brown Lab
Award for "Dirtiest Volunteer" goes to Olimpiu Odeju who was in charge of the Gas Storage Room
Award for "Volunteer who got the Best Workout" goes to Tom Gonziorowski for loading garbage into the dumpster
