Wood Siding! 
No one was expecting that wood siding would ever cause this much excitement, but the siding on the Boathouse is provoking cheers and sighs of relief as it starts to go up.
Take a look when you drive by, the grain and color of the wood give the building an entirely different feel and look than the enormous, ultra-dark blue panels that have been up for a few weeks now. Those panels provide great insulation so the geo-thermal well in the building doesn't have to work too hard to heat and cool the second floor, but the wood really starts to bring the building to life - all it needs now are some rowers to complete the picture.

Boston Globe Prints Lead Story on CRI CRI was the lead story for the Boston Globe Sunday City section this past weekend - great free advertising, although the article neglected the outreach programming that is at the core of our mission. On the positive side, we are focusing on how amazing it is that CRI has the opportunity to raise the bar for the sport of rowing as a whole - the boathouse costs what it does because we are bringing rowing public on a scale that people haven't seen, ever, anywhere! New Docks! Installation of the new docks will begin tomorrow and hopefully be complete by the end of the week. We are making every effort to have the docks installed with minimal inconvenience, but we ask that everyone be patient as we work through the process, and watch for changes in access to the dock. |
