The American Health Care Association, a leading long-term care industry group, has announced it will not seek an exemption from the Affordable Care Act's requirement that employers provide their workers with health coverage.

National and state organizations have sent a letter to Department of Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, urging her to issue regulations to narrow the "companionship exemption" of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
