The measures have been endorsed by the National Quality Forum and will be integrated into Nursing Home Compare, a CMS-run online database ranking more than 17,000 U.S. nursing homes.

 Georgia Bill Proposes Official Designation for Assisted Living Facilities
The bill -- which cleared the state Senate on March 14 -- would make it possible for residents of Georgia's assisted living facilities to continue living in these settings, even if they needed help with medications or were not ambulatory.
