David Griest will be speaking alongside SJF II Limited Partner, GKM Newport, at the Hawaii Venture Capital Summit in Honolulu on March 11. Dave Kirkpatrick and Arrun Kapoor have been invited to present SJF Ventures at the Five Fund Forum organized by Sustainable World Capital in London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Zurich the second week of March. Dave Kirkpatrick will also be speaking at Green Trading Summit in NYC on March 23. SJF Announces New Networking Group in RTP and NYC: CleanLinks
SJF is expanding upon its successful cleantech business networking events in 2009 under the new name CleanLinks.
CleanLinks happy hour events will remain free and open to all business professionals with an interest in growing the fields of cleantech, renewable energy, energy efficiency and related environmental business sectors. The next NYC event will be on 2/24 at Connolly's and the next RTP event will be on 3/2 at Tosca in Durham, NC. Arrun Kapoor (pictured on right), based in SJF's New York office, has been promoted to Principal. Arrun led SJF's recent investment in FieldView and he is a board observer for ServiceChannel and TRUiST and is leading SJF's 2010 NYC Cleantech Mentorship Program. AJ Dye, a UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA candidate, has joined SJF as an MBA Associate intern in the Durham office for 2010. Dye most recently served as Associate at Innovation Capital, a boutique investment bank based in Denver, CO. Joel Thomas, also a UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA candidate, has joined SJF Advisory Services as a MBA Program Associate intern. Prior to Kenan-Flager, Thomas founded the water purification startup, WaterPLUS and also founded and continues to serve on the board of Nourish International, a non-profit engaging college students in the effort to eradicate poverty. |
