Our Vision
|
Jesus in Love serves gay, lesbian, bi and trans (glbt) people who have spiritual interests, and our allies. We promote queer spirituality and the arts, with an emphasis on books and images. We believe that God loves all people, including sexual minorities. We believe that the creative process is sacred. We hope that the new visions, especially the gay Jesus, will free people to experience the divine in new ways and lead to a more just world.

Black lesbian prayers and art offered
Black lesbian spiritual art is almost impossible to find, so it's thrilling to discover the work of Los Angeles artist Joy A'Che. Her books and paintings are available through a new lesbian-owned company that offers inspirational and erotic art and e-books for black lesbians and their friends. Is this a sexual Jesus?
Oklahoma churchgoers are upset over what they see as a "pornographic" Jesus. Some don't notice what is "obscene" about the icon until they read about the phallic image on Jesus' abdomen that the supposedly moralistic people perceived. A few actually quit the church over this. It just goes to show that obscenity is in the eye of the beholder. More info
