Our Vision
Jesus in Love serves gay, lesbian, bi and trans (glbt) people who have spiritual interests, and our allies. We promote queer spirituality and the arts, with an emphasis on books and images. We believe that God loves all people, including sexual minorities. We believe that the creative process is sacred. We hope that the new visions, especially the gay Jesus, will free people to experience the divine in new ways and lead to a more just world.

Kitt Cherry on Easter 2008Contrasting events fill the newsletter this month, in keeping with the Easter season of joy and solemnity.  Click here for my video greeting, made on Easter Sunday.

Alternative Christ figures, particularly the black Jesus, are in the U.S. national news now as fiery sermons by a presidential candidate's pastor play over and over on TV.

Can the gay Jesus be far behind?  My book of queer Christ images got a big literary honor.

Doing Easter the gay way also has a lighter side.  Check out the videos of men in their Easter bonnets.

Black Jesus, Gay Jesus and Obama
Jeremiah Wright
Black Jesus is causing controversy now for U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama.

"Jesus was a poor black man who lived in a country and lived in a culture that was controlled by rich, white people," said Obama's recently retired pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr.

Watch him preach it on video and judge for yourself.   Go to video

Gay Easter bonnets show creativity
Man in Easter bonnet
Men in outrageously creative Easter bonnets were among the worshippers at Metropolitan Community Church of Los Angeles on Easter Sunday morning.

Each bonnet was a work of art in itself, so Kitt Cherry made videos of all the best bonnets at the early service.  Click here for more info or to see videos now.
