Our Vision
|
Jesus in Love serves gay, lesbian, bi and trans (glbt) people who have spiritual interests, and our allies. We promote queer spirituality and the arts, with an emphasis on books and images. We believe that God loves all people, including sexual minorities. We believe that the creative process is sacred. We hope that the new visions, especially the gay Jesus, will free people to experience the divine in new ways and lead to a more just world.

Starting today! Blog runs gay Holy Week series
Gay Holy Week and Easter readings start today at the Jesus in Love Blog. A queer version of Christ's Passion runs in daily installments from Palm Sunday (today) through Easter (March 23). Each daily post features a GLBT Christian painting and an excerpt from Kittredge Cherry's new novel At the Cross. The eight-day series covers the dramatic events of Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, and Jesus' arrest, trial, crucifixion, and resurrection. Jesus falls in love with his disciple John and faces religious homophobia in "At the Cross." The online Holy Week series includes paintings by F. Douglas Blanchard, Gary Speziale and Becki Jayne Harrelson. Click here for today's post(Image credit: "Jesus Enters the City" by F. Douglas Blanchard) |
Greetings!
I hope that you are having a wonderful Palm Sunday.
Holy Week is an important time of spiritual reflection for me personally as I remember Christ's suffering, death and resurrection.
This year I invite you to share the journey online. I'll be posting book excerpts and art every day from now through Easter at the Jesus in Love Blog. Please visit, reflect and be renewed.
I wish you an Easter filled with new life.
Blessings, |
