Painted Ladies Walking Tour On Saturday
Painted Ladies Walking TourThe Architecture of Downtown
On Saturday, April 25th,Architectural Designer Amanda Lewkowicz and Richard Heyl de Ortiz will lead a walking tour of downtown New Paltz. The tour will begin with the Street's own Painted Lady, the Deyo House, and continue into the surrounding area. Together, we'll talk about the many iconic architectural styles found in downtown and share the interesting and largely unknown stories of the more striking buildings of downtown. "Painted Ladies" leaves from the DuBois Fort Visitor Center at 1pm.  The tour, which is 120 minutes long, is $12 per person or $10 for Friends of Huguenot Street. Click here to register.

A Hasbrouck in a Most Unlikely Place
NBC logoName Pops Up on Parenthood
If you watch the relatively new series Parenthoodon NBC, you might have done a double-take during one recent scene. As a mother tries to explain to her teenage daughter that she is dating one of her teachers, the daughter says, "I guess it wasn't Mrs. Hasbrouck." Seems as though you never know where one of New Paltz's original family names will turn up!
