Greetings! 

You may be feeling that there is nothing but bad news in the press and elsewhere at the moment.......
 
We have been working with companies who have achieved real success in the last few months both in delivering what they do and also in improving the way they work. We have had companies successfully achieve ISO9001:2008 and ISO14001 the Environmental Management System standard, and while it hasn't been easy all have said how much applying the standard has opened their eyes to the possibilities of further improvement.

 We are pleased to announce a new resource for our clients and colleagues wherever they are based. If you log on to our website you will see we have now introduced a discussion forum where any registered user can ask questions, request advice and provide assistance to others in the community on topics that relate to performance inprovement and business Excellence.
 
Our Forums are structured around our toolkit and range from the EFQM Excellence model to Business Continuity. You will find a link to each forum on the relevant pages of our website and also the overall forum allows you to ask more general questions or indeed suggest completely new forums which you think will be of interest to our Business Quality Community. 
 
If you are new to forums and are not sure how they work either take a look at the very comprehensive set of Frequently Asked Questions (you'll find FAQs at the top of the page) or fill in the Forum Help section.
 
We hope that over time we can both create a dialogue throughout our community and also, as the information builds up, you will be able to use the search function to find is someone else has had that same problem you are trying to solve and the answer is just waiting to be found.

Health and Safety performance
 
Back in 2003 when the government reviewed Employers Liability Compulsory Insurance it found that too many businesses faced premiums that failed to reflect their Health and Safety record.
 
 
Since then, the Health and Safety Executive and Business Link have worked together  to produce an online tool that will give a Health and Safety performance indicator.
 
The tool will help businesses understand how to:
  • Identify and manage H&S hazards.
  • Provide targeted guidance to improve H&S management
  • Compare performance anonymously with other businesses.
Business Doctors
Business Doctors The Chesham Chamber of Trade and Commerce is sponsoring a new Business Doctors practice in the town.
 
The Practice will provide access to local business doctors for companies who are finding the going tough during the recession. It will also provide FREE health checks for all local businesses in the town that want to ensure they are in good shape to weather stormy economic times.
 
Graham Hull of ley hill solutions has agreed to be one of the first Business Doctors to join the Business Doctors and the practice has already seen its first patients.
