Back to School
School has started after a short 6 week summer vacation for some of the children. Corazon de Vida will have over 500 children in school from the 14 orphanages that we assist, from kindergarten to university. Four and five year olds are learning about colors, numbers, and letters. Our junior high school students are learning Algebra, English, and Computer Skills. We have university students studying to become doctors, lawyers, and business administrators to name a few. We are fortunate to be able to help with some of the needs of the children, but we need your help to meet all school needs. We need backpacks, composition notebooks, gasoline cost, bus fare, uniforms, school shoes, tuition and more. If you can help us please click HERE.

Events
THIRD PARTY EVENTS are key to helping us provide for the children. Have a party, feed kids. A few examples of what others have done to help raise money for the children:
Sol Cocina Donated 10% of the day's proceeds which raised $2000!

Bus Trips
OUR BUS TRIPS are the heart and soul of Corazon de Vida. If you have been a friend of CDV for many years and have been on one of our trips, you know how fun they are. If you have yet to visit the children, please do yourself a favor and join us on a trip for a day that you will never forget! Click HERE to register, to see photos, watch a video, or to read a newspaper article about our bus trips!
SAVE THE DATE: On Saturday December 4, 2010, we will have 4 buses depart LA/OC/SD to visit the orphanages. Help us celebrate Christmas at the orphanages. More information soon!

How You Can Help
We need Apple Macintosh computers for our office in Irvine. If you can donate funds for a new one or provide a recent model in good working condition, please let us know.
We also need vehicles of all types, volunteers in our Irvine office, Interns, event volunteers, silent auction items, school supplies, and of course... money to provide the basics of food, water and utilities for the orphanages.
Please let us know how you can help. |
"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring. All of which have the potential to turn a life around."
