ANGEL CORPS
Corazon de Vida has been helping orphan and abandoned children in Baja for 16 years and in addition to miracles from above, it takes individuals who stand up and say "I can help." When CDV started in 1994, we put our arms around the 35 children at the Door of Faith Orphanage and made sure they had food, water, and their utilities paid. Today, CDV is helping over 750 children at 14 orphanages with this same support. Thanks to our child sponsors and donors, our Angels, we are truly making a difference. Be a part of our Angel Corps and help us not only sustain life in the orphanages, but give them hope, and make dreams come true. Existing sponsors will soon be receiving their Angel Corps kits and new child sponsors will automatically be enrolled. CINCO DE MAYO RED CARPET CHARITY EVENT to benefit Corazon de Vida
Los Angeles Cinco de Mayo "Party With A Purpose" event at Falcon Hollywood hosted by the Phoenix Project and the Latino Marketing Network. A fantastic silent auction with beautiful artwork by Les Brandt, Antonio Pelayo, Christina Zepeda and Joel Garza and many other great items will be displayed. Photographer Edward De La Torrewho will be revealing his latest one of a kind portraits, and Yuki Miyazaki performing live paintings. Throughout the evening, MUSEUM will host an incredible live fashion showcase of top industry designer Kimberly Alfaro. The show will cover the entire venue and it will be unlike any other. Bus Trips
On the third Saturday of each month, we load volunteers from Los Angeles, Irvine, and San Diego to visit an orphanage for the day. A day of having FUN with kids who rarely get visitors. Orphanage Updates
The strong earthquake earlier this month has damaged the girls dormitory at the Hacienda Orphanage. Ceiling beams have split, support posts cracked, and critical mounts have separated. 60 children have been moved to other rooms and conditions are very crowded. We are in the process of locating structural engineers and contractors to determine how to make the facility safe. Please keep the children in your thoughts and prayers as they struggle through these difficult times.

- Cal Berkeley Californians Club for the donation of NEW hooded sweatshirts for numerous orphanages.
- Apogee Electronics for the funds needed to remodel the bathrooms at El Faro and Rancho El Faro. Apogee does much more, but we do not have the space to list all that they do.
- Street Surfing for the funds to do capital improvements at a few of our orphanages. We need to make sure the quality of life improves at the orphanages and thanks to these corporate angels, they are making a difference.
