7th Annual Holiday Trip

Saturday, December 5, 2009 

When we ask the children, "What do you want for Christmas?" probably the #1 answer we get is, "When are you coming back to visit?"  They do not care about the latest X-Box game or latest style of jeans. The only gift the children want is to make new friends and thank you for allowing them to eat, go to school, and giving them a chance. The orphanages are lonely places these days as very few people come to visit the children or bring supplies. Corazon de Vida has made a commitment and promise to them that we will always be there for them and do our best to give them hope of a better life.
 
Help us send this message to over 260 children as we visit three orphanages on Saturday, December 5, 2009 for our 7th Annual Holiday Trip and Pledge Drive. We will bring a delicious lunch, a holiday themed craft, and most of all, a message that someone cares enough to give up a precious Saturday to visit them. This trip is also a major fundraiser for us and we ask that each volunteer attending donate or raise at least $100 so we can feed the children after our visit. You can have a fundraiser party, ask 10 friends for $10 or 20 friends for $5 and you are set! You can also create your personal online donation page to easily reach your goal.  Join 150 volunteers on this special day and help us give the best gift our kids could receive this year - your hugs, your smiles and your friendship.

• Mahasin Muhammad for participating in the Quality Time For PR Minds in Los Angeles. She met with PR professionals and gave to CDV many wonderful suggestions to help promote our mission.
  
  
• CSUF PR Assist class for selecting CDV for a class project. They are organizing the One Child One Future One Vida event on Sunday, November 15, 2009.
  
  
• USC Marshall School of Business MBA Program Communication Class for selecting CDV as a class project to review our communication methods. Your input will be invaluable.
  
  
• Jesse Castle for supervising our booth at the Be The Cause Walk for Hope. A big thanks to Activate Water for sharing our booth and handing out refreshing water.
