Imagine trying to get over 400 children into school next month and the cost involved. Uniforms, shoes, PE uniforms, socks, belts, school sweaters, back packs, books, pencils, pens, paper, rulers, registration fees, and transportation costs to either pick up kids or provide bus fare. We have students in kinder, elementary, junior high, high school and university at over 30 different schools in Baja. Summer vacation this year is only 5 weeks before the alarm clocks start to ring at 4:45 AM to get 30 - 50 - 70 kids ready for school.

We have restructured our monthly sponsorship program to include recurring sponsorships of $10, $25 or $50 in addition to our full monthly child sponsor amount of $62.50. Orphanage Trips
Our next trip is Saturday July 11 to the Hacienda Orphanage, a large home of over 80 children. The kids are excited for our visit. They have it on their calendars and unfortunately, some kids even wrote it on their bedroom wall (This was a time out and no yard play for two days). We will bring lunch, a fun craft project, push kids on swings, play a soccer game, hold babies, color, run after bubbles, play catch ... don't miss out on the fun and register today. CDV is participating in the Ralphs Supermarket Community Contribution Program. Buy your groceries at Ralphs and use your Rewards Card as you would normally and CDV will get a percentage of the sale. Used Vehicles
The orphanages are in desperate need of vehicles, all types, sizes and shapes. As long as it is in running condition and safe, we can receive it and deliver to the orphanage. All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

- Corona del Mar High School for the donation of over $2500 work of supplies for Career Day. Even though we needed to postpone the event due to the H1N1 virus, the food, gifts, school supplies, backpacks and other gifts will be put to good use. Kudos to Senor Rojas and his students for stepping up again.
- Be The Cause for their donation of $2500 from their Hollywood event on June 6. Over 19 musical and stage acts participated to help raise awareness of the children living just a few hours from LA. "Be The Change That You Wish to see In The World."
- Kong Company for coming through again when the waters get rough. Our gracious thanks for your generosity and support of the work we do in Baja.
- Gustavo of Impress Digital Printing for a professional and super fast (we mean lightening speed fast) emergency print job. Please support businesses that support CDV and give Gustavo a call for your print services.
- One Hope Wine donation of a few cases of wine for upcoming CDV events was much appreciated. One Hope Wine raises money for Aids, our troops, autism, breast cancer, and planet earth. Thank you for playing your part to help the children.
