Greetings!

How are you holding up these days?  Who could have predicted, even a year ago, the challenges our churches and people would be facing right now.  As I continue to visit & meet with our Central Florida Family, I have witnessed living testimonies to the words of Paul the Apostle:
 
"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." 
Phil 4:12 


It is a privilege to work along side some of the most Godly men & women, dedicated to carrying out the Great Commission; whatever the challenge. The good news is, we will be able to give Him all the glory!

Will you join with other members of the Team Central Family to pray during the 30 days leading up to our District Assembly and Conventions. We have much to pray forLDD MPC Close: revival, renewal, churches in crisis, grossly under-funded ministries.  We need a miracle across Central Florida. Will you join us in prayer and fasting the 4 Fridays preceding District Assembly, March 28 and April 3, 10 & 17?

God is able!

Harv LyonsA Building Campaign???

(Feb. 13/09 - Tampa CrossPointe) "Building fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ" is the purpose that CrossPointe Church lives by.  After a challenging messages by Senior Pastor Harv Lyons and Pastor Dennis at their Building Campaign Dinner, the church body proved this is their vision. The church family raised $244,000 toward the cost of their building expansion, which could begin as soon as next month.  With the money that has already been raised and the new pledges, they could be in a newly expanded facility, debt free, in as little as three years.

In a recent message, Pastor Harv stated:  "God has a vision for the church...because the church is the hope of the world...so let's lay down our lives for this vision...because if we do...the payoff will be big and will last for all eternity."
 
"It's not about the building, and it's not about the numbers," says Pastor Harv"It's about reaching out to our community and sharing the message of Jesus Christ...and giving Him all the glory."

MOSAIC: One Day. Three Conventions.

We will be combining our Central Florida District's three conventions this year into a one day evNaz Kidsent.  Our District leadership's time & resources are facing mounting demands.  Rev. Ronda Rieves (NYI, President), Rev. Hugh King (SDMI President) and TawNYI Logoanda Mills (NMI President), at the request of the District Office, have been actively putting together a new & creative format for this year's Conventions.  Please contact your local church NMI, NYI, & SDMI leadership for details.

Volunteers are needed in several areas: Hospitality, Transportation, Registration, Meet & Greet, Ushering, Special Needs, Security & Crisis, Finance & Counting, Medical & First Aid, Convention Services.

LDD sinatureCongratulations to our Tampa First Haitian Congregation! Pastor Sandra Jeannot is the senior pastor to of the newly organized church.  Their Organization Service on Sunday, February 8th was, as Pastor Sandra described, "Like a music concert.  Everyone was so excited!"
 
Don & Denise SmithRev. Don and Denise Smith to Winter Haven First. Following 21 years of faithful ministry to the Rockledge congregation, the Smiths have accepted the call to pastor Winter Haven First. Their last Sunday will be the Feb 22nd. Don and Denise will be instArchersalled at WH 1st on Sunday, March 15th.

Rev. Alan and Terri Archer (Ruskin) have accepted the Tampa Mission Area Coordinator assignment.  Both are gifted leaders and will serve well in this role. You can reach them at tarcher2@mac.com.
 
 
B Rickey Install 2 15 09A warm welcome to Rev. Brett Rickey, his wife Mindy, and their three young daughters from the Team Central family.  Pastor Brett was installed as the new Lead Pastor at Highland Park Church, Lakeland, on Sunday Feb 15th. Pastor Brett and his family are joining us from Family Church in Tulsa, OK.  
 
The Church Triumphant
Rev. S. F. Hicke, a retired elder, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, February 13.  His funeral service was held at Apopka Calvary church, with Pastor Jim Page presiding.  Messages of sympathy can be sent to his wife, Jean, at 549 Lake Doe Blvd, Apopka, FL  32703.

Children's Curriculum Too Expensive?
Are you in need of quality ministry tools for your Children's Ministry program?  We're here to help!  The District Children's Council has created a "Children's Ministry Library" of curriculum and DVD & CD Worship Music for kids that you may borrow!  All we ask is that you will take good care of the material, don't make copies (copyright laws), and then send it on to the next church ASAP. That's all!  We have Kidmo, Uncle Charlie DVD's and CD's.

Over 140 pastors and laymen were at our first Vision Trail session on Sunday, February 15th at Rockledge Church.

The next three regional meetings will be held the following Sunday nights:
