LDD Casual SuitCharacteristics of Churches Committed to
Developing Cutting Edge Disciples

In the next few issues of TEAM TALK we will be exploring key characteristics of churches that are developing Cutting Edge Disciples.

The first and most important is a dedication to being A House of Prayer.  During his unforgettable Holy Week visit to the Temple, Christ did not suggest but demanded that "My House will be called a House of Prayer."  Praying individuals create praying churches. Praying churches model powerful, results producing prayer for young and old disciples. Prayer changes us and prayer changes the church.  Prayer is the means God uses to sanctify His Church.  Through prayer, we become more like Christ.  We take on God's values, and we come to see that God really does reward "those who earnestly seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)  The more seriously we pray, the greater our chance of becoming, "Houses of Prayer".

Churches that are serious about obeying Christ's Great Commission to Make Disciples, will first and foremost be Houses of Prayer. Once a congregation is baptized with an anointed dedication to prayer, making disciples is the natural and ongoing next step.

Committed to developing Cutting Edge Disciples,

Larry Dennis

There are no other national or regional events focused on holiness like FUEL 2008. Our Nazarene story is consumed by people whose lives were changed and who God used to change the world because of their decision to surrender EVERYTHING to Him. Imagine the teenagers of your local Nazarene church, 100 years after we began, being changed in that same way!    This event is free for those who attended Sacred Life District Teen Camp.
