Hello everyone -
All kinds of things are starting up in the next few weeks!
This Friday (September 25) at The Breathing Project, three classes are beginning again: Babies!, the fall semester of Embodied Anatomy & Kinesiology and A&K Asana. Your first Embodied Anatomy & Kinesiology class is free, so if you are interested in deepening your experience of anatomy, come check it out. (Details are below.)
In October two programs are beginning in NY - the second year of Embodied Asana workshops begins with The Spine as a Limb: Head & Neck (taught by me). A new BMC & Yoga: Embodied Anatomy program also starts, with a workshop on the Lower Limbs (co-taught by myself and Roxlyn Moret). I'll also be traveling to Japan again, to teach in Tokyo for a week.
Many thanks to those of you who participated in the summer intensive - we had a wonderful week of exploring BMC and the Bartenieff Fundamentals. If you're planning ahead, it looks like next summer's workshop will focus on PNF patterns.
Finally, if you are interested in getting 'hands-on' in another way, I'll be participating in Gil Hedley's cadaver dissection in May 2010 - this will be my fourth time participating, and it's an incredibly rich experience every time.
More details on all these classes and workshops are below - and please feel free to email me at spiralamy@gmail.com with any questions.
Best - Amy

embodied asana classes and workshops are based on sensing your body, breath and movement. In them we practice bringing consciousness to each moment of moving.
In embodied asana classes you are invited to discover the anatomical, kinesthetic and energetic relationships in the body, and between the body and breath that are at the heart of a somatic practice.
